Basic CPR and First Aid Training Classes

The American Heart Association offers many programs for CPR, AED, and First Aid. Immediate CPR can double, or even triple, a victim’s chance of survival. Increasing survival from cardiac arrest is why we offer a variety of programs for companies, schools and communities to offer lifesaving CPR and first aid training.

Medic Response Health and Safety offers monthly CPR and First Aid classes in the Gainesville, Virginia area. Our CPR AED and First Aid and BLS Health Care Provider classes meet the requirements for OSHA Virginia department of Social Services, Fitness Industry and Virginia department of education, American Dental Association, Nursing and care providers.

Heartsaver® First Aid

The Heartsaver® First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies.

In addition, students will learn how to recognize emergencies, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. Fundamental changes reflecting the new science from the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care have been implemented into this course.

Heartsaver® CPR & AED

Heartsaver® CPR & AED course trains participants to give CPR.

In addition, students will learn to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Fundamental changes reflecting the new science from the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care have been implemented into this course.

Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR, & AED

The Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR, & AED training is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course.

The training teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. Students learn skills such as treating bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online and In Person Skills Session

The combination Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online and In Person Skills Session is the hands-on session for any Heartsaver Online Training. Heartsaver First Aid, Heartsaver CPR/AED, First Aid CPR /AED and Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED. The Heartsaver Online Training is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s Heartsaver Courses. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session.

Completion of Heartsaver First Aid, CPR/AED, or Heartsaver Pediatric Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED can be completed at elearning.heart.org.

When enrolling you need to use your personal email address not business or company email. Please bring a copy of your AHA Heartsaver completion certificate that you did online with you for the Skill Session or email a copy to training@medicresponse.com.
